Mortgage Refinancing Tips

R E F I N A N C E

When you want or need to adjust the terms of your current mortgage, you do so with a refinance.  And without a clear strategy, often times you're not getting what's best for you...only what's best for your lender!

Do you know it's best to:

  • Refinance your note towards the first of the month
  • Not take escrow accounts towards the end of the year
  • Closely examine a 'no cost' refinance
  • Never, ever pay points or origination charges when refinancing
  • Consider a 20 or 25 year term instead of a 15 or 30
  • Not refinance at all if you aggressively pay down your note

A refinance takes as much, or more, consideration than when you purchased the property.  There are closing costs and payback periods and taxes and insurance considerations not found with the original mortgage.  You need an expert mortgage consultant...you need CD REED.
